this weekend was probably one of my more eventful ones..
yesterday morning i sat for the weird IEEE online quiz thing.. like WTH all the questions were so damn super hard ugh.. in the end i got 23/60! lol. then i went for training.. i think at the rate im doing my team will lose.. all because of me.. my routine is like so completely ugh..
at night we celebrated my mom's brithday.. we were playing with fire. more specifically burning satay sticks over the tea candles.. and we found out that if the satay stick is out but still glowing and you dip it into wax the whole thing will just burst into pretty flames.. and then we started throwing in weird stuff like pork lard (left over from satay.. MY satay) then pork cartilages and my sis threw in a piece of fish then it sucked up all the wax then we had to use another tea candle..
so we were playing with it happily then we got a warning from our parents to stop.. so my cousin tried putting out the fire (which was already quite big) with her drink (mix of orange juice and 7up). BIG MISTAKE.. the fire suddenly erupted.. it grew from like about the size of a handphone to the size of a computer [dont ask me whats with all the comparison with the electronic stuff.. probably because im using the comp and my handphone now] yah anyway the fire was like inches from my face so i covered my mouth to muffle the scream.. guess what? everyone thought i burnt my face lol^^ ..
i was too traumatized to talk for a few minutes.. then after that i couldnt stop laughing.. my sis and i were asking for re-enactments of the whole thing.. super funny lah
then this morning went to church.. we had some kind of workshop thing that kevin gave (which is good!).. he talked about christians listening to non christian music.. which is really really apt.. after the whole thing, he ended by saying that we should just spend as much time listening to christian music as secular music.. and that we should just abstain from those immoral and satanic songs... if i get a chance i'll ask kevin for the powerpoint slides and send it around in school.. seriously the satanic lyrics that people actually listen to... they should be banned lah please...
then theres the other end.. where contemporary christian music hits billboard charts and all.. which is WAY COOL!!! YAY FOR GOD!!
and in service the speaker said prayed and said that we should start bringing back God into our lives (for those who needs the bringing back part) by just spending some time each day reading the bible.. just a little segment if we really have no time.. and that we should not go through each day without prayer.. after that there was alter call so i went up.. and wen ai prayed for me... it really touched me that she could point out my problems so specifically even though all i told her was that i wanted to pray that i can return to a close relationship with God because over the past few months the spiritual me just faded away..
